DiscoveryTel is an independent telecommunications services provider to select African and Middle Eastern markets. Established in 2002, DiscoveryTel is an Ireland-based company with subsidiaries in the United States as well as in several African and Middle Eastern countries, including Ghana, Nigeria and Guinea. DiscoveryTel targets destinations where telecommunications markets are underserved and infrastructure is underdeveloped.

DiscoveryTel provides three main core product lines:

• international wholesale carrier services
• broadband internet services (WiMAX)
• mobile and fixed wireless voice and data services (CDMA 2000 1x EV-DO Rev. A)

DiscoveryTel Ghana (DTG) was founded in 2004 as an Information & Communications Technology (ICT) based innovative service provider with the capability to design, supply, and execute a complete multi-faceted Wide Area Networks (WANs) and Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) infrastructure, and delivering convergent services such as Internet, voice, data, video, and images.

DiscoveryTel Ghana Ltd is the local subsidiary of DiscoveryTel Inc, a company registered in the US and headquartered in Hartford, Connecticut. DiscoveryTel Ghana currently operates under all the operating frequencies and licenses issued by the National Communications Authority.
